Nicholas turned 8 months old yesterday.  In the passing of that day eight months has now passed.  Time goes by so quickly.  And it's so easy to say that but so hard to look back and think how much time has really passed.  Enough time has passed for Nicholas to grow two teath.  He can roll over at a realitivly fast pace.  He murmers dad-da with a consistancy that has convinced me that he is referring to me although sometimes I still think it's just the only noise he can make.  Sometimes I start to think that the word Dad actually came from a baby murmer.
As each day passes I can't believe how fast time goes by but I also look to the future when Nicholas will walk and talk and we can go out and play.  It's then that I wonder if those days will pass as quickly as the last eight months.  It's when I consider this thought that I begin to wish for time to slow down.  I picture the summer evenings portrayed in the lemonade comercials where the evening breeze is a welcome relief from the days heat and Nicholas is out in the yard catching fire flies as they make there evening ventures.  I am already holding those coming moments dear for I know the time will pass so quickly when they arrive.

WOW! Another update already!? Yep... Nicholas was sleeping a little bit ago and I had fresh batteries for the camera so I started taking pictures and just had to put them on the wed since he is so cute.  All of these pictures are in there FULL size so that if you want to get them developed (yes like as in real pictures) you can.  Didn't know you could do that? Neither did I till I was at Walmart the other day and I found out that for the same price as regular reprints you can get digital pictures developed.  What do you need to do to have them developed?  Just save them on a floppy disk or a CD if you have a CD burner and take them to your local Wally-World photo center and tell them you want real pictures.  Other photo places may do this service also, so check around.  And with that here are the most recent photos of the worlds cutest baby

"You don't really appreciate the value of Duct Tape till you have a baby."

For those of you whom the above quote may offend please note I am only kidding.  For those of you who arn't offended please send more Duct Tape. :-) ...  Nicholas turned one month old today so I figured I had better update the site. (Plus I have been getting several threating letters telling me to update the site or else.)  The last week has been pretty busy for Nicholas.  On June 12th he went to the circus with us for our anniversary, then on Saturday the 16th he went to the parade here in town.
Krista and I now realize the true value of sleep deprivation as a torture device. I think I would give up the topmost secret for a full nights sleep; whatever I wouldn't give up Krista would!  Nicholas has officially been grounded for interupting his parents sleeping time utill he is approximatly 47.  I just don't think he cares.  With all this in mind here are some pictures of the cutest little booger you've ever seen.

They say that babies sleep 18 to 20 hours a day when they're first born, and they do.   The problem is that the 4 to 6 hours that they are awake is sometime between midnight and 8:00 am.  Last night was the first night since coming home from the hospital that he actually slept for any length of time (about 4 hours straight!)  So needless to say I have been too tired to spend much time updating this site.  But that has changed now that I am rested (well somewhat.)  So here are the latest pictures of Nicholas.  These are from the 21st till today although they are in no particular order besides that.

Mom, Dad and Baby are all home.  Everyone is tired and ready for some sleep!   Nicholas is doing wonderful.  The hospital wasn't the best place in the world for me to sleep at.  I had an uncomfortable chair that turned into an even more uncomfortable bed.  Tomorrow I will add more pictures and maybe even some thumbnails for all the pics.  But today I am going to rest... maybe.

Wow.  What an awesome experience it was watching Krista deliver our new son!  She was amazing!  (I think the epidural had a lot to do with that too.)  Mike and Terra Rowley were a GREAT help!  Terra I don't think I could have counted to 10 that many times without your help!  Thanks!   Krista is currently at the hospital and I came home to shower, change, and update the website.  Below are pictures taken from delivery up to 20 hours old.  I didn't have time to edit them or resize them so they are all about 100K.  But the pictures are worth the download time I promise!

"Beautiful Boy"
by John Lennon

Close your eyes
Have no fear
The monster's gone
He's on the run and your daddy's here

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy

Before you go to sleep
Say a little prayer
Every day in every way
It's getting better and better

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy

Out on the ocean sailing away
I can hardly wait
To see you come of age
But I guess we'll both just have to be patient
'Cause it's a long way to go
A hard row to hoe
Yes it's a long way to go
But in the meantime

Before you cross the street
Take my hand
Life is what happens to you
While you're busy making other plans

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy

Before you go to sleep
Say a little prayer
Every day in every way
It's getting better and better

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Darling, darling, darling
Darling Nicholas
